The use of Bird Exclusion Netting provides a safe and humane method of completely excluding pest birds from desired areas. A typical netting installation consists of the following: first, stainless steel support anchors (eye bolts) are mounted to the structure. Next, cable guides (j-brackets, beam flange clamps, s-hooks or net pins) are mounted at approximately one-foot intervals. The cable guides support a 1/16″ 7/7 stainless steel aircraft cable that runs through the cable guides and eyebolt support anchors. At the end of each approximately 20-foot length, a stainless steel in-line turnbuckle is installed to tension the wire frame, which provides a tight fit to the face of the structure. After the wire frame is completely installed, the netting is hog ringed to the cable frame with stainless steel hog rings. (The hog rings are attached to the netting every 3/4″ for 3/4″ netting or every 1″ for 2″ netting.) All of the bird exclusion, bird control and/or bird deterrent Netting hardware is mounted with either powder-actuated pins, Epcon A7 two-part epoxy anchoring adhesive, self-tapping screws or beam flange clamps.
